(Items between ( ) are not a part of her book but were added comments during the lesson.)
Ps 12:1 " Help, LORD; for the godly man ceases; for the faithful fail from among the children of men."
Micah 7:2- " The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net."
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
And the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low, and the debts are high,
And when you want to smile, but you have to sigh;
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but DON'T YOU QUIT!
Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint to the clouds of doubt
You never can tell how close you are
It may be near when it seems afar.
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit.
It's when things go wrong that
YOU MUST NOT QUIT

2 Corinthians 4:1,7-10 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; ... But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
