Text: Psalms 78:1-8, 36-37

From the heart proceeds all the actions and motives of man. (Proverbs 4:23-27) What is in your heart? Is your heart righteous or wicked? Many seeds of good and bad are planted within the heart. Eventually they will take root, sprout, grow and eventually manifest themselves through you.

The children of Israel had forgotten the many blessings that the Lord had bestowed upon them - His guidance, protection, provision, and even His forgiveness. Israel continually sinned against the Lord. God would bring chastisement; Israel would repent, but not long after they would be back to their murmuring, complaining, ways of idolatry, and seeking their own ways. Why? Psalm 78:37 - "For their heart was not right with him, neither were they stedfast in his covenant.
