For some of our friends who have visited before, you will notice some changes to this page. I've really been enjoying getting new graphics sets that reflect a more "homey" feeling, and most of them I have been getting from Creative Ladies Ministry which is run by another Independent Baptist Lady.

 

Since I am a woman and personally run Trenholms of Kelowna website, I have chosen to gear more of our studies about women's issues or the family unit as a whole, hence the new title: Call Her Blessed. If you are a gentleman, please don't quit here, you may yet find much to bless your heart like A Cheerful Heart or Testimonies, among others, plus, you and your wife (or potential wife) may be searching out some issues together, like Modesty. Whichever the case, I truly hope these studies, devotions, etc. will be a blessing. Also, many of the studies are written by men.

 

Our Ladies Meetings' Studies (done by our Pastor's wife) have moved to our church website (People's Baptist Church of Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.) that I put up in January of 2004 in the Especially For Ladies section.

As a Bible Believer, I take the Bible very seriously. I'm not perfect, but it is my sincere desire to follow the Lord wherever He leads, and He never leads contrary to His written Word.

 

Since I believe the Bible (specifically the 1611 King James Bible for the English Language) is the Word of God, then God's Word and His Word alone must be my guide book, instruction manual, rule book, play book, however a person wants to look at it.  "The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times." Psalms 12:6 

 

God commands each Christian to "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15

  

As I've studied the Bible, and have been under the teaching of some great men of God, the Lord has made it clear that we can be sure of many things.

 

I've endeavoured to make available some of those studies. Most are not my own. They may have been copied with permission from others who have spent far more time in the documentation of their research. Nevertheless, I know from personal study in the Word of God, that they are accurate.

 

I pray these studies will be a blessing to all who read them, and my sincere desire is for the lost (that is, those who have not accepted Christ as their personal Saviour) to be saved, and Christians to be strengthened and drawn closer to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

 

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." 1 John 5:13

Modesty

It is not my desire to hurt anyone by posting these studies. They are very controversial for this day and age, but I am constantly reminded in God's Word that He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8) and this also includes the matter of modesty. If it was right in "Biblical times", then it's right now. It is my hope that they will be an encouragement and a blessing to all who read them.

 

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 1 Timothy 2:9 (modest apparel means loose and flowing).

 

My Culottes pattern is copyright free, that is to say, it may be freely distributed in adobe  .pdf form or by print to anyone and you may use it to make culottes for others even if you charge for the culottes, just don't claim the pattern as your own.
